  1. HIV seroprevalence was defined as the number of confirmed HIV cases per 10,000 of HIV-tested people.
  2. HSV-2 seroprevalence was defined as the proportion of HSV-2-positive people. The 2,038 HSV-2 samples randomly selected among 26,173 male patients with anal disease tested for HIV in 2009.
